Erestor ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy describes what we collect, why, and your choices in plain language.

Erestor provides informational market intelligence and portfolio awareness tools only. Nothing in the app — including outlook, research posture indicators, news summaries, Community statistics, or Ask Erestor responses — is investment, legal, or tax advice.

We do not execute trades, custody assets, or act as a broker-dealer or fiduciary. You are solely responsible for your investment decisions. Consult a qualified professional before acting on any information in the service.

Account data: email address and authentication identifiers from Supabase Auth.

Portfolio-like data you enter manually: tickers, share amounts, average buy price, dollar amounts, account types, investment horizon, trim targets, and cash balances.

Watchlist and interests: tickers you save in Discover, sectors, themes, and saved voices.

AI interactions: prompts you send to Ask Erestor and AI-generated responses used to deliver the service.

Product analytics: pages visited, feature usage, Ask message length, and coaching feedback when you opt in to data sharing.

Operational signup context: coarse country or region and marketing referrer tags captured once at first login, for internal growth reporting only.

Research posture snapshots and optional feedback responses.

Local storage: guest portfolio cookies and intro/tutorial flags in your browser.

You may opt in to share anonymized and aggregated portfolio and usage data to help improve Erestor and power community-level statistics. This is never pre-selected.

If you opt out, we still use your data to provide research and intelligence to you, but we do not include your data in anonymous cross-user aggregates or product-improvement pools.

Community statistics are aggregated, anonymous, and informational only — not investment recommendations.

Revoking opt-in stops new aggregate inclusion. Previously computed anonymous statistics may retain historical aggregate values without identifying you.

Provide and improve the service: outlook, research posture, Discover, notifications, and Community features.

Product learning: tune research rules, prompts, and aggregates from opted-in users only.

Operational analytics: aggregate signup and account counts, and coarse country or referrer context at first login, for internal growth reporting only. This is separate from optional Community data sharing.

We do not sell identifiable personal information to third parties.

We use Supabase (database and auth), Vercel (hosting), and OpenAI (Ask Erestor and generated intelligence). These processors handle data on our behalf under their terms.

Future optional broker connections (e.g. via Plaid) would require separate consent and are not active in the current beta.

We retain account and portfolio data while your account is active. Position lifecycle events may be kept for aggregate analytics when you opted in.

You may export portfolio CSV from Settings. Deleting your account removes your user record and cascades linked data.

You may access, export, correct (by editing positions), and delete your data through the app.

California residents: we do not sell personal information. You may opt out of data sharing for product improvement via Settings.

Erestor is not directed at children under 13.

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date and, when appropriate, in-app notice or re-consent.
